Behind the Scenes of Customer Service - Post 1

Okay, I have decieded to turn this blog into a production blog for my films. What this basically means is, every once in a while, I will post on the status of my latest film. I might also occasionally post some behind the scenes pictures of the sets and stuff. I've only done this once before, with my film One Small Pizza.

This is the first post for my newest film, Customer Service. It is going to be a comedy, about 1-2 (maybe 2.5) minutes long. It was originally going to enter it into the Comedy and Plots (CAP) competition, which is a contest created by a fellow brickfilmer over at bricksinmotion.com. But, I decided against it for a few reasons. First, the deadline is only 3 days away (July 1st), and I don't think I can rush fast enough to make the deadline. Second, I am sick of making films with strict deadlines (the only film of mine that wasn't under a deadline was the aforementnioned One Small Pizza). Finally, I want to take my time with this film, and make it the best it can be.

Right now, I'm in the set designing stage. This film only requires two small sets, but I am working to improve my set design wit this film, by making the sets detailed. I don't have any pictures at the moment, but the two sets are a wall in a bedroom (with a computer, which is very important to the plot), and an office cublicle. I just started building sets today, and already I'm done with the very rough design of the sets. I still need to add some more details to make the sets seem less plain. Hopefully I can work on them some more tommorrow. For anyone that's interested, I am hoping to finish this film within the next couple of weeks. I hope it turns out well.
